Before I could start my project, to migrate the web applications from the BEA Weblogic to the Apache Tomcat, at assona GmbH (former Jamba Service GmbH), I have planned and accomplished a two-week team training with regards to the Java Standard Edition Version 6.
The whole team had to be brought more in line.
To this end, I have designed scripts and training files. I have created a presentation that made the sessions more practical and easier to understand. After each training session the participants had exercises to do which I had to monitor and to correct until the next session.
Java 6 was a prerequisite for the above project.
I have got only positive feedback from the participants after the training.
